Now I guess its time to tell you about myself …
I have always been very passionate about fine arts; whether its music, drama, art and more. Growing up choir, band, drama/ musical theater and art were ever present. Graduating from a Fine Arts High School and later pursing a fine arts degree… That I never did finish… Instead choosing to share my passion of arts with children in a Before and After school setting. Which I absolutely love!
Needless to say I have tried to keep the arts in my life in as many ways as possible, learning new art skills and picking up new/ongoing hobbies regularly.
So How do I Keep This Artist Passion Going?

Crochet has become one of my favorite artistic pastimes; crocheting nearly every day! Frequently making things from no pattern or creating patterns of my own.
And…
Dungeons and Dragons! Now I know what you might be thinking…”But Melissa, that’s not a fine art?!” And I say, sure it is! What is a role playing game if not a group storytelling game based off theatrical improv, or at least it is playing it with my friends!
All jokes aside, Dungeons and Dragons has not only given me the opportunity for engaging theatrical improv (improv I actually enjoy), but it has inspired me to draw regularly again. Sure its mostly D&D content, but what can I say I’m a big nerd at heart!
